The Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Alumni organised the very first Bowling Championship 2005 on 15 Jan 2005 at Cathay Bowl (Chervons).

Teams from both CEE Alumni and CEE students competed for the Challenge Trophy. It was a great opportunity for the Alumni and students to foster a strong bond and network.

The competition started off with a warm-up game for all teams. For the novices, this is the chance to feel the ball and steal some tips from the better players. By the end of the warm-up game, we definitely can see much improvement in accuracy and consistency among all players. Needless to say, more Strikes on the way from our star players from each team!

With that, the teams are ready to pit against one another. Crashing of pins, Roars of joy and Squeals of frustration filled the atmosphere for the next 2 hours. In between, light snacks and drinks were provided.

After 2 grueling rounds, the student team comprising of Yuan Li, Issac, Jeff and Soo Ghim won the championship! Star player, Yuan Li received the Trophy from Ms. Lee Bee Wah. He is also the Best Bowler of the day with a total of 324pins. From the Alumni teams, we have KeJie with a total of 283pins. The Alumni is determined to win the Challenge Trophy the next year. Everyone enjoyed the games.
